KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO MARYWOOD, 3-1

SCRANTON -- Marissa Ruda scored two goals and host Marywood University overcame a 1-0 deficit to post a 3-1 victory over King's College in a non-conference women's soccer matchup Wednesday in Scranton.

With the win, Marywood improved to 10-7 overall while King's slipped to 6-9-3.

King's would take a 1-0 lead just 6:00 into the contest when Kaitlin Wilcox struck net for the Lady Monarchs off an assist by Annie Drimones.  Marywood would answer when Kristen Powers scored off an assist from Annie McDonald 11 minutes later.  The Pacers would take a 2-1 half-time lead when Ruda scored the first of her goals with just 3:00 left in the opening stanza.

Marywood would tack on an insurance goal by Ruda at 83:00 to seal the victory.

Marywood outshot King's 14-8 while the lady Monarchs held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.

King's will close out its season Friday at 3:00 p.m. when the Lady Monarchs host FDU-Florham as part of Homecoming Weekend at King's.
