KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER DROPS 2-0 VERDICT TO LYCOMING
WILLIAMSPORT -- Host Lycoming College scored
one goal in each half to post a 2-0 victory over King's College in a
Freedom Conference women's soccer matchup Wednesday at Betzler Fields.
With the win, Lycoming improved to 3-8-1 overall
and 1-5 in the Freedom Conference. King's slipped to 5-8-2 and 0-4-2.
Rebekah Shipe scored the first goal with just two minutes remaining in
the first half. Amanda Smolarek would add an insurance goal with 15:23
left in th contest.
Lycoming outshot King's 13-5 and held a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.
King's goalie Christine Uhl made 10 saves.
The Lady Monarchs will travel to meet Lancaster Bible Saturday at 11:00
