KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO DESALES, 2-0
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's
soccer team dropped its fourth straight game as visiting DeSales
University posted a 2-0 victory Saturday at Betzler Fields.
King's slipped to 4-7-2 overall and 0-2-2 in Freedom Conference play
with the loss while DeSales improved to 5-9 and 2-3.
Jessica Baker opened the scoring with 13:38 left in the first half off
an assist from Dana Eustace. DeSales would push across the game's
final goal with 7:33 left in the half when Eustace would score off an
assist by Emily LaDuke.
King's would outshoot DeSales 11-7 and held a 6-1
advantage in corner kicks.
King's goalie Christine Uhl made four saves while
Bulldog keeper Kelly Hinkle had six stops.
The Lady Monarchs will host New Jersey City University Monday at 3:30
p.m. at Betzler Fields.
