KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER GOES 2OT'S TO DOWN CEDAR CREST
WILKES-BARRE -- Sophomore
midfielder Lisa McMillan scored two goals, including the game-winner in
the second overtime session, as the King's College women's soccer team
posted a 2-1 victory over host Cedar Crest College Monday ion Allentown.
With the win, King's improved to 4-3-2 on the year.
Cedar Crest would take a 1-0 at the 11:00 mark of the first half on a
goal by Danielle Skinner. King's, which outshot Cedar Crest 26-4,
missed out on numerous opportunities but finally managed a goal with
1:40 left in regulation when McMillan stuck net off an assist from
Adrienne Stine.
After one scoreless overtime period, McMillan would end the game with an
unassisted goal four minutes into the second overtime frame.
Christine Uhl made three saves for King's while the Lady Monarchs held a
6-0 advantage in corner kicks.
The Lady Monarchs will travel to Reading to face Albright College
Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
