KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO FDU, 3-1
MADISON, NJ -- The King's College women's soccer team saw its winningest
season in 10 years come to an end as the Lady Monarchs dropped
a 3-1 decision to Freedom Conference playoff qualifier
FDU-Florham Saturday in Madison, NJ.
With the win, FDU improved to 12-4 and 5-2 in conference play. King's,
meanwhile, finished the year with a 7-12 mark and posted the most
victories by the program since the 1996 campaign.
Meghan Griswald and
Ashliegh Hoey scored a pair of first-half goals for the
Devils, while King's lone goal also came in the first half when Kaitlin
Wilcox scored off a corner kick off the foot of Annie Drimones.
Amanda Buyes added a second-half goal for the Devils
King's goalie Christina Uhl made nine saves while FDU keeper Megan Bashio posted three stops. FDU outshot King's 12-5 and held a 7-2
advantage in corner kicks.
