KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS LINCOLN, 4-0
PHILADELPHIA -- Freshman Lisa McMillan scored three goals to lead the
King's College women's soccer team to a 4-0 victory over host Lincoln
University Thursday in Philadelphia.
With the win, King's improved to 7-6 on the year and has now posted the
most victories by a King's women's soccer program since the 1996 team
won seven matches.
McMillan and Gina Rozaieski gave King's a 2-0 half-time lead with a pair
of unassisted goals. McMillan upped the lead to 3-0 on a goal with 18:32
remaining off an assist from Blake Stock on a corner kick. McMillan
would convert a pass from Kaitlin Wilcox to tally the final goal
of the game just 1:31 later to seal the victory.
King's defense, headed by starters Lori Stuart, Annie Drimones, Liz
Martin, and Stock combined to hold Lincoln without a shot the entire
game. Lady Monarch keeper Christina Uhl registered her second straight
shutout win without making a save.
King's will return to action Saturday at 2:00 p.m. against Delaware
Valley at Betzler Fields.
