KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO DESALES
WILKES-BARRE -- DeSales University broke open a
close game with four second-half goals as the Bulldogs posted a 5-0
victory over host King's College in a Freedom Conference women's soccer
matchup Saturday at Betzler Fields.
With the win, DeSales improved to 8-10-1 overall and 1-5-1 in conference
play. King's fell to 4-14 overall and 0-7 in league play.
DeSales took a 1-0 halftime lead when Megan Laurich scored unassisted at
17:38.
The Bulldogs struck quickly in the second half when Rachel Eamons scored
back-to-back goals at 34:22 and 31:41 to give DeSales a 3-0 lead. Eamons
would then register her third goal off an assist from Laurich with 23:15
on the clock. The Bulldogs added the final score with15:25 left on a goal
by Nikki Cressman.
King's will play its final game on Monday at 3:00
p.m. against Centenary at Betzler Fields.
