DELAWARE VALLEY WOMEN’S SOCCER SHUTS OUT KING’S, 3-0

DOYLESTOWN – Brittany Shubra had an early goal and assist as Delaware Valley (3-10/1-4 in MAC) shut out King’s College 3-0 in MAC Freedom conference women’s soccer Saturday in Doylestown , PA.

The Aggies scored all goals in the first half.  Shubra scored the opening goal with 28:51 remaining.  Minutes later, she would assist when Janelle Smoyer scored at 22:19.  Dana Ronyack scored last with her goal at 18:48, assisted by Cynthia Vargas.

Delaware Valley goalkeeper Lindsay Eversole had five saves in the shutout while Monarch’s goalie Christine Uhl also had five saves.

The Aggies had 23 shots on goal while the Monarchs only had 12.  Delaware Valley also had the advantage in corner kicks with nine over King’s which had four.

King’s (4-10/0-5 in MAC) will play their next game Tuesday at home against Baptist Bible College at 3:30
