KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO SCRANTON, 9-0
WILKES-BARRE -- The defending Freedom
Conference champion University of Scranton women's soccer team jumped out
to a 4-0 halftime led and never looked back, posting a 9-0 victory over
host King's College Thursday at Betzler Fields.
With the win, Scranton improved to 6-5 overall and 4-0 in Freedom
Conference play. King's fell to 4-8 and 0-4.
Kim McCormick led Scranton with two goals and an assist while Alicia
Sodano added a pair of goals. Kelly Klingman and Katrina Banfe had
one goal and one assist each to aid the Lady Royal cause.
Scranton outshot King's 49-1 and held a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.
King's goalie Christine Uhl made 16 saves while Scranton keeper Jackie
Colley picked up the win without making a save.
King's will host Arcadia University Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
