KING'S WOMEN DOWN HOOD TO REACH TOURNEY FINAL
FREDERICK, MD -- Jen Beams scored the
game-winning goal in overtime as the King's College women's soccer team
advanced to the finals of the Hood College Invitational with a 2-1 victory
over host Hood Saturday in Frederick, Md.
Beam scored the first goal of the game at 23:52 off
an assist from Jen Toth. Hood would send the game into overtime on a
goal from Jen Guyer.
The Lady Monarchs (1-1) would pick up the win when Beams converted an
assist from Maria Bustin into the game winner with just 1:52 remaining in
the first extra frame.
King's faces Cedar Crest for the title Sunday at noon.
