King’s Women’s Soccer Drops Heartbreaker to FDU-Florham 1-0

NEW JERSEY - Laura Astrada of FDU-Florham headed a goal assisted by Trish Chanego to narrowly defeat the King’s College women’s soccer team 1-0 in both teams MAC Freedom conference opener Saturday in Madison, New Jersey.

FDU-Florham increases their record to 3-2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference, while King’s drops to 2-6 and 0-1.

FDU Florham had the edge in corners (9-2) and total shots (27-8) while King’s held advantage in saves (19-4).

King’s will play their next game at home versus Susquehanna University Wednesday at 4:00.
