KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER DOWNS PHILLY BIBLE
PHILADELPHIA -- Jenny Lampman scored a pair of goals
and the King's College women's soccer team picked up its first win of the
season with a 4-2 triumph over Philadelphia Bible College in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Bible took a 1-0 lead when Jamie Bowers
scored with 31:01 left in the first half. The Lady Monarchs would
eventually tie the score with 29:39 remaining in the contest when Jeannie
Dreier ignited a King's surge with an unassisted goal. Lampman then score
at 26:59 off an assist from Jennifer Toth before adding her second tally
unassisted with 17:53 remaining.
Christine Collins gave the Lady Monarchs
a 4-1 advantage with an unassisted goal with 6:16 on the clock.
Philadelphia Bible would secure the game's final goal with just 2:26 on an
unassisted tally by Rebecca Coburn.
King's outshot Philadelphia Bible 30-6 and held an
8-4 advantage in corner kicks. Lady Monarch goalie Liz Ball made six saves
while Philadelphia Bible keeper Joanna Reamer registered 10 saves.
The Lady Monarch return to action Thursday when
King's travels to LaPlume to face Keystone College at 3:30 p.m.
