KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO MARYWOOD, 5-2
SCRANTON -- Despite holding a 21-14 advantage in
shots, the King's College women's soccer team suffered a hard-fought 5-2
defeat to host Marywood University Sunday on Scranton.
Jessica Barrett tallied three goals for Marywood,
which jumped out to a 4-0 halftime lead. King's got on the board when
Jennifer Lampman scored unassisted with 26:20 remaining. But Eric Franz
would score for Marywood just 0:40 later to push the lead to 5-1. Jeannie
Dreier scored the final goal for King's with 4:50 left in the contest.
With the loss, King's falls to 0-3 on the year and
will host Misericordia Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
