  KING’S WOMEN’S SOCCER FALLS TO ELMIRA, 8-0

SCRANTON – The King’s College women’s soccer team fell to Elmira College Saturday afternoon by a score of 8-0.  The loss drops the Lady Monarchs to 0-2 on the season.

Elmira struck often and proved to be too much for the Lady Monarchs.  They recorded goals at 37:30 and 11:32 in the first half and scored at 43:12, 18:16, 14:51, 10:01, and 0:46 in the second half.  Valerie Marquis and Jennifer Tuttle were responsible for two of those goals.

Elmira out shot King’s 23-1 and held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Lady Monarchs will be in action again tomorrow in the Marywood University Tournament.
