KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER DROPS OPENER TO JUNIATA
HUNTINGDON -- The King's College women's soccer team
dropped a 7-1 decision to Juniata College in the Lady Monarchs' season
opener Sunday in Huntingdon.
Amy Tyler and Alison Kampstra led the Eagles with
one goal and one assist each. King's goal was scored with 20:27 remaining
when Christina Collins converted a penalty kick for the Lady Monarchs.
Juniata held a 16-3 advantage in shots on goal as
well as a 5-1 lead in corner kicks.
Liz Ball made eighth saves in goal for King's, which
returns to action Saturday and Sunday at the Marywood University
Invitational.
