KING'S FALLS TO ALBRIGHT, 3-1

READING – The King's College women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to Albright Saturday in Reading.

Albright's Leslie Tripp scored the contest’s first goal with 45:39 left in the first half with an assist by Lori Stuart.  King’s closed out the first half when Jeannie Dreier scored with 15:49 left assisted by Meghan Derosa to bring the game to a 1-1 half-time score.

Albright scored on a penalty kick by Monica Kline with 20:32 left in the second half to push the score to 2-1  The Lions iced the game when Tori Johnson scored on a breakaway with 5:03 remaining.

Albright outshot the Monarchs 17-9 and held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks, while King’s had 11 total saves to Albright’s 6 saves.

King’s, fell to 2-16, will play its next game at home Tuesday against MAC Freedom Conference rival Wilkes at 3:00.
