LADY MONARCH SOCCER FALLS TO BBC, 2-1

CLARKS SUMMIT -- Mandy Hager scored the deciding goal with 14:07 remaining as the Baptist Bible College women's soccer team earned a 2-1 win over King's College Saturday in Clarks Summit.

After a scoreless first half, King's took a 1-0 lead when Christine Collins scored off a corner kick from Meghan DeRosa. The Lady Defenders tied the game with 13:34 left on a goal by Melissa Thompson. Hager would push across the winning tally 4:24 later to give Baptist Bible the lead for good.

Baptist Bible outshot King's 14-8 and held a 11-9 advantage in corner kicks.

King's goalie Liz Ball made eighth saves on the day as the Lady Monarchs fell to 2-13 on the year.

King's will be idle until its hosts Delaware Valley Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Betzler Fields.
