CLARKS SUMMIT -- Mandy Hager scored the deciding
goal with 14:07 remaining as the Baptist Bible College women's soccer team
earned a 2-1 win over King's College Saturday in Clarks Summit.
After a scoreless first half, King's took a 1-0 lead
when Christine Collins scored off a corner kick from Meghan DeRosa. The
Lady Defenders tied the game with 13:34 left on a goal by Melissa
Thompson. Hager would push across the winning tally 4:24 later to give
Baptist Bible the lead for good.
Baptist Bible outshot King's 14-8 and held a 11-9
advantage in corner kicks.
King's goalie Liz Ball made eighth saves on the day
as the Lady Monarchs fell to 2-13 on the year.
King's will be idle until its hosts Delaware Valley
Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Betzler Fields.
