KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAM FALLS TO LYCOMING

WILKES-BARRE -- Kaitlyn Prairie the game's only goal as visiting Lycoming College posted a 1-0 victory over King's College in an MAC Freedom Conference women's soccer matchup at Betzler Fields.

After a scoreless first half, Prairie successfully converted a pass from Heather Weller with 29:36 remaining in the contest for what proved to be the winning goal. With the loss, King's falls to 2-9 overall and 0-2 in Freedom Conference play. Lycoming improved to 4-3 and 2-0.

Lycoming outshot King's 10-9 while the Lady Monarchs held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks. King's goalie Liz Ball made six saves on the day wile Lycoming keeper Beth Weixel posted three saves.

King's will host Drew University Saturday at 11:00 a.m. on Homecoming Day at Betzler Fields.
