KING’S WOMEN’S SOCCER DEFEATS
PHIILLY BIBLE, 3-0
WILKES-BARRE – Meghan DeRosa scored a
pair of goals to power the King’s College women’s soccer team to a 3-0
victory over visiting Philadelphia Bible University Thursday at Betzler
Fields.
King’s took a 1-0 lead when DeRosa scored an unassisted goal with
17:54 left
in the first half. The Lady
Monarchs would take a 2-0 lead into the half-time
break when Chrissy Carr struck net off an assist from Kate McFarland.
DeRosa would push across the game’s final goal with 3:06 left inthe
contest off a pass from Christine Collins.
The Lady Monarchs held a 26-10 advantage in shots and an 8-5 lead in
corner kicks. King’s goalie Liz Ball made nine saves as King’s
improved to 3-12 on
the year.
King’s will return to action Saturday when the Lady Monarchs travel
to face Wilkes at 11:00 a.m. at Ralston Field.
