KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER DROPS 5-0 DECISION AT ARCADIA
GLENSIDE, PA -- Janelle Jablonski and Samantha
Calhoun each added a goal and an assist as Arcadia University upended
King's College 5-0 Saturday in Glenside, Pa.
With the loss King's drops to 3-12-1 overall and
1-3 in league play, while Arcadia improves to 12-2-2 overall and 2-1-1
in league play.
Arcadia jumped out early on a goal from Katie
O'Malley with an assist from Patty Robb at the 7:00 minute mark of the
first period. Jablonski and Calhoun then added a goal each at the 24:39
mark and 29:50 mark of the first period, as Arcadia extended its lead to
3-0 at the half.
Stephanie Bates and Cassandra McLaughlin would
round out the scoring for Arcadia with a goal each in the second half.
Arcadia outshot King's 20-2, while holding a 7-2
advantage in corner kicks. Lady Monarch goalie Rachel Donatiello had 6
saves in net for King's.
King's will return to action Monday when the Lady
Monarchs host Marywood University for a game at 3:30 pm at Betzler
Fields.
