KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER FALL IN CONFERENCE OPENER
DOYLESTOWN, PA -- The Lady Monarchs Soccer fell in
their conference opener against Delaware Valley 5-1. The lone goal
scorer for King's Brianne Schmidt. Her goal came unassisted at 18:55 in
the first half. With the loss, King's falls to 1-7-1 overall and 0-1 in
the conference. Delaware Valley improves to 6-1 and 1-0 in conference
play.
The Aggies dominated the offensive side of the
ball, taking 22 shots, forcing King's net minder Rachel Donatiello to
make 11saves. The first DelVal goal came at just 8:03 into the contest.
Elise Dauber would send in a shot from a pass coming off the foot of
Elise Carpenter. The Aggies would continue scoring when Johanna Lovallo
struck twice, once at 23:15 and again at 36:48. Her goals were both
assisted, coming from Dana Gentile and Elise Carpenter.
Rounding out the scoring, Elise Dauber would find
the goal again, this time with the pass from Jessica Stahley at 56:32.
The final goal of the day came from Christine Del Turco when she scored
at 80:18.
The Lady Monarchs will be back in action Tuesday,
October 1 when they host Lebanon Valley under the lights at 7:00pm.
