KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER DOWNS PSU-HARRISBURG, 8-1
HARRISBURG -- Six different players scored
goals as the King's College women's soccer team won its first match of
the year with an 8-1 victory over host Penn State Harrisburg Monday in
Harrisburg.
King's took a 3-0 led into the halftime break, then exploded for five
unanswered goals in the second stanza to build an 8-0 lead.
Xavia Ortega and Kaitlin Wilcox score two goals each for King's while
Lisa McMillan followed with one goal and two assists. Megan Snavely
added one goal and one assist while Annie Drimones and Erin Tanner
contributed one goal each.
Sara Coletta, Kelly Puffenberger, and Erin Wetherhold chipped in with
one assist apiece.
King's defense was outstanding as the Lady Monarchs yielded just one
shot in the game. The Lady Monarchs took 25 shots in the contest.
Rachael Donatiello picked up the win in goal for King's.
The Lady Monarchs will travel to Moravian College on Wednesday for a
4:00 p.m. matchup.
