KING'S WOMEN POST 21-5 WIN OVER ARCADIA
WILKES-BARRE -- Freshman Reanna Lachner and
senior Lindsay Sabo Sabo combined for 10 goals and three assists as the
King's College women's lacrosse team posted a 21-5 victory over visiting
Arcadia University Thursday at Betzler Fields.
King's held a 4-2 lead after nearly 13 minutes of play but the Lady
Monarchs exploded for 11 unanswered goals to surge ahead 15-2 at the
half. King's would slow down play in the second half, working the
clock, while outscoring Arcadia 6-3 over the final 30 minutes of action.
Lachner led the way with six goals and two assists while Sabo netted
four goals with one assist. Michelle O'Brien also tallied for
goals for King's while Melissa Gates added a trio of goals.
Shannon Ellis chipped in with one assist.
King's goalies heather Kelly and Chrissy Keenan combined for four saves.
King's outshot Arcadia 33-11 on the day.
The Lady Monarchs travel to Widener University on Saturday for a 1:00
p.m. contest.
