KING'S WOMEN'S LAXERS FALL 15-8 AT FDU
MADISON, NJ -- Amanda Wayne scored six goals
with one assist to lead host FDU-Florham to a 15-8 victory over King's
College in a Middle Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse matchup
Saturday in Madison, NJ.
With the win, FDU improved to 5-6 overall and 3-3 in conference play
while King's fell to 2-7 and 1-5 in league competition.
FDU built a 5-1 half-time lead on the strength of two goals each by
Wayne and Lindsey Specht. King's would fight back and came to
within 7-6 on back-to-back goals by Lindsay Sabo with 13:49 remaining,
but the devils would counter with four unanswered goals to take a 11-6
with 9:23 on the clock.
Sabo topped King's with six of the teams eight goals while Reanna
Lachner and Michelle O'Brien scored one goal each. Sara Alesso chipped
in with an assist while Heather Kelly made six saves in goal.
FDU outshot King's 26-25 in the game.
King's will host Scranton Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
