KING'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE POSTS 21-8 WIN OVER
WILKES
EDWARDSVILLE -- Lindsay Sabo scored four goals
with two assists and Sarah Veneski added two goals with four assists as
the King's College women's lacrosse team downed host Wilkes University
21-8 Tuesday at Ralston Field.
With the win, King's improved to 2-6 overall and
1-4 in the Middle Atlantic Conference. Wilkes, meanwhile, fell to 0-8
overall and 0-5 in league play.
King's jumped out to a 6-0 lead with 11:27 left in the first half on the
strength of three goals from Reanna Lachner. After a Wilkes goal by
Chelsea Weinstien, King's would outscore the Lady Colonels 7-2 the rest
of the way to forge a 13-3 lead at the half.
The Lady Monarchs would then score the first three goals of the final
stanza to stretch the lead to 16-3 with 23:40 remaining. King's
would extend the lead to 20-4 lead with 10:45 left on back-to-back goals

Lachner finished with three goals and an assist while Sara Alesso,
Michelle O'Brien, and Glenn tallied two goals and one assist apiece.
Keri Niedt, Erica Kovats, Melissa gates, Megan farrell, Danielle Alesso,
and Rachel Azar all chippe din with one goal each as 12 different Lady
Monarch players struck net.
Ashley Leggio led Wilkes with three goals and an assist while Weinstien
contributed two goals.
King's will be idle until Saturday when the Lady Monarchs travel to meet
FDU-Florham in a 1:00 p.m. contest.
