LADY MONARCHS FALL AT E-TOWN, 18-4
ELIZABETHTOWN -- Katie Foley scored four goals
with two assists and host Elizabethtown College built a 12-2 lead en
route to an 18-4 triumph over KIng's College in a Middle Atlantic
Conference women's lacrosse matchup Thursday in Elizabethtown.
With the win, Elizabethtown improved to 3-1 and 1-0 in the MAC while
KIng's slipped to 1-4 and 0-2.
Kelsea Kozak aided the Elizabethtown attack with two goals and five
assists while Anna Ford and Megan Byrnes contributed three goals each.
King's was paced by Lindsay Sabo with two goals while Erica Kovats and
Sara Alesso netted one goal each. Reanna Lachner contributed an assist
for the Lady Monarchs. Heather Kelly allowed 14 goals and made
eight saves in 37 minutes of action. Chrissy Keenan followed up by
playing the final 22 minutes, allowing four goals and stopping one shot.
Despite the lopsided nature of the score, Elizabethtown barely outshot
King's by a 32-28 margin as the Lady Monarchs struggled to find the net.
