WOMEN'S LAXERS FALL TO ST. JOHN FISHER, 18-10
ORLANDO, FLA -- The King's women's lacrosse team
dropped an 19-0 verdict to St. John Fisher College (NY) in its second
game at the Disney Sports Complex, Orlando, Fla.
With the loss, King's slipped to 1-2 on the year.
Senior Lindsay Sabo led King's with three goals, three ground balls, two
caused turnovers, and two draw controls. Freshman Reanna Lachner also
netted three goals with one draw control. Junior Melissa Gates
followed with two goals, four ground balls, and three draw controls
while junior Keri Niedt also posted a pair of goals.
Freshman Sarah Veneski scored one goal, with two ground balls, and one
draw control while fellow rookie Shannon Ellis registered two ground
balls, with draw control.
Junior Megan Farrell tallied one ground ball and one caused
turnover while senior Kelly Ilardi chipped in with one draw control.
Junior goalie Heather Kelly posted seven saves on the day in goal for
the Lady Monarchs.
King's will be idle until March 17 when the Lady Monarchs travel to face
Elizabethtown College in a 4:00 p.m. contest.
