KING'S SABO, KING NAMED TO ALL-MAC WOMEN'S LACROSSE TEAM
WILKES-BARRE -- King's College women's lacrosse standouts Lindsay Sabo
and Grace King have been named to the 2006 Middle Atlantic Conference
All-Star Team. Sabo was a first-team choice while King was a second-team
selection.
Sabo,
a junior midfielder, stands as the leading scorer in the MAC with 84
points on 59 goals and 25 assists, while adding 69 ground balls and 39
caused turnovers.
Sabo, who was a second-team choice last season, stands
as King's all-time scoring leader with 225 points in three seasons.
King,
a sophomore midfielder, totaled 58 points on 54 goals and four assists
while contributing with 35 ground balls and 12 caused
turnovers. After scoring 43 points as a freshman last season, King
totals 101 points in her two years with the Lady Monarchs.
The duo led King's to a 9-6
record, a second straight MAC playoff berth, and helped the squad total
251 points, the second highest total in program history.
