KING'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE FALLS TO SUSQUEHANNA
SELINSGROVE -- Host Susquehanna University
took a 10-6 halftime lead, but broke open the game with a big second
half as the Crusaders posted a 21-10 victory over King's College in a
Middle Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse matchup Tuesday in
Selinsgrove.
With the win, Susquehanna improved to 6-8 overall and 5-5 in the MAC
while King's slipped to 7-5 and 3-5.
Leading 14-10 in the second half, Susquehanna rattled off seven straight
goals over the final 10:44 of the game to seal the victory.
Rachel Devilbiss led Susquehanna with six goals
and one assist while Erin McGarrigle added five goals. Chrissy Carafello
tallied three goals and an assist to aid the Crusader cause while Jen
Weiss made six saves.
King's was paced by Lindsay Sabo with a team-high five goals. Grace King
followed with three goals while Melissa Gates contributed two. Heather
Kelly made 15 saves in goal for the Lady Monarchs.
The Lady Monarchs will next host Widener University Thursday at 4:00
p.m. at Betzler Fields in a game that was rained out on Saturday.
