SCRANTON WOMEN'S LACROSSE DEFEATS KING'S, 18-12
WILKES-BARRE -- The two-time defending Middle Atlantic Conference
women's lacrosse team University of Scranton posted an 18-12 victory
over host King's College Tuesday at Betzler Fields.
With the win, Scranton improved to 11-3 overall and 9-1 in the MAC while
King's fell to 10-5 and 5-4 in conference play.
Jackie Messantonio topped the Lady Royals with five goals and two
assists while Kelly Herlihy followed with four goals and one assist.
Lauren Johnson contributed two goals and two assists while Samantha
Augeri added two goals and one assist. Kerry Kornobis chipped in with
two goals. Scranton goalie Courtney Enman made 11 saves in the game.
King's was paced by Patrice Cote with three goals and one assist while
Lindsay Sabo tallied two goals and two assists. Grace King netted three
goals while Melissa gates added two scores. Michelle O'Brien and Kim
Murray netted one goal each while Kristen Greene distributed two
assists. King's goalie Mary Beth Clark made eight saves.
King's returns to action Thursday with a 4:00 p.m. matchup with College
Misericordia.
