KING'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE TEAM DOWNS MORAVIAN, 20-7
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's lacrosse team raced out to an
11-3 halftime lead and was never threatened as the Lady Monarchs posted a
20-7 victory over visiting Moravian College Saturday at Betzler Fields.
With the win, King's improved to 7-3 overall and 2-2 in the Middle
Atlantic Conference. Moravian slipped to 2-8 and 1-5 in conference play.
Lindsay Sabo led the way for King's with four goals and two assists while
Patrice Cote followed with four goals and one assist. Kim Murray also
tallied four goals for the lady Monarch. Kristen Greene netted one goal
and distributed three assists while Keri Niedt added two goals and one
assist. Melissa Gates, Jenifer Marrosu, and Katie Sullivan chipped in with
one goal each.
Mary Beth Clark picked up the win in goal for King's with seven saves.
Jessica Cordani scored three goals for Moravian while Eric Spatz and
Lindsey Lustrino netted two each. Jennifer Glassner had 13 saves on the
day for the Greyhounds.
King's will next travel to face Elizabethtown College Monday at 4:00 p.m.
