KING'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE DOWNS ARCADIA, 18-7
WILKES-BARRE -- Eight different players scored as
the King's College women's lacrosse team posted a 18-7 victory over
visiting Arcadia University Tuesday at Betzler Fields.
With the win, King's improved to 4-1 on the year while Arcadia slipped to
2-4.
King's would dominate the first half, building a 14-2 lead at the break.
The Lady Monarchs, however, would let down in the second stanza and
Arcadia outscored King's 5-4 over the final 30 minutes of play.
Lindsay Sabo set a King's single-game record with eight assists, while
adding two goals. Kim Murray and Patrice Cote followed with three goals
and one assist each while Kristen Greene added two goals and two
assists.
Melissa Gates scored three goals while Michelle O'Brien, and Grace King
netted two goals apiece. Keri Niedt chipped in with one goal while senior
goalie Mary Beth Clark made four saves.
King's will travel to Hackettstown, NJ on Thursday to face Centenary
College at 4:00 p.m.
