KING'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE POSTS FIRST-EVER
SHUTOUT IN 17-0 WIN OVER CHESTNUT HILL
PHILADELPHIA -- Ten different players scored at
least one goal and the King's College women's lacrosse posted its first
shutout ever with a 17-0 victory over Chestnut Hill College Tuesday in
Philadelphia.
King's, which improved to 2-1, controlled the action right from the start as the Lady Monarchs
built a 12-0 half-time led and cruised to the victory.
Freshman Grace King's led the way with five goals. Keri Niedt followed
with two goals and two assists while Patrice Cote and Melissa Gates
contributed two goals and one assist each. Lindsay Sabo scored a goal and
posted a team-high four assists while Kim Murray netted a pair of goals.
Kristen Greene scored a goal and distributed two assists while Sara Alesso
dished out three assists. Teresa O'Brien, Rachel Agzigian, and Michelle
O'Brien chipped in with one goal each.
King's goalie Mary Beth Clark made five saves to pick up the shutout win.
The Lady Monarchs will host Drew University Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at
Betzler Fields.
