KING'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE DROPS 16-9 VERDICT TO WIDENER

WILKES-BARRE -- Nicole Jiulianti scored five goals while Lauren Goane distributed seven assists to lead visiting Widener University to a 16-9 victory over host King's College in a Middle Atlantic Conference pairing at Betzler Fields.

With the win, Widener improved to 10-4 overall and 8-2 in conference play while King's fell to 7-6 and 4-6.

The Lady Monarchs were led by Patrice Cote with five goals while Lindsay Sabo followed with three goals and two assists. Kim Murray also scored for King's while Lady Monarch goalie Mary Beth Clark made 13 saves.

King's will close out its season Monday when the Lady Monarchs host Centenary College at 4:00 p.m. at Betzler Fields.
