SCRANTON WOMEN DEFEAT KING'S, 20-2
SCRANTON, Pa.—Senior midfielder Kate Pierangeli
scored five goals, including four in the first half, and assisted on two
others to lead The University of Scranton to its 10th straight win, a 20-2
victory over King’s College in Middle Atlantic Conference action
Wednesday afternoon at Fitzpatrick Field.
The Lady Monarchs, now 7-5 overall and 4-5 in league

contention throughout much of the first half and cut Scranton’s lead to
3-2 on an unassisted goal by freshman midfielder Kelly Ilardi at the 12:56

The score remained that way for the next six minutes until a goal by
Herlihy off an assist by junior attacker Lauren Johnson at the 18:00 mark
made it 4-2. Scranton then took over and scored seven goals in the final
nine minutes to take an 11-2 lead at halftime.
Freshman midfielder Lindsay Sabo scored the Lady
Monarchs’ first goal, unassisted, at the 7:13 mark of the first half
