WOMEN'S LACROSSE DOWNS CEDAR CREST
ALLENTOWN -- Sara Alesso
scored four goals and added a pair of assists as the King's College women's
lacrosse team posted a 16-3 victory over Cedar Crest College Monday in
Allentown.
With the win, the Lady
Monarchs improved to 4-3 on the year.
The Lady Monarchs raced out to a 9-1 half-time lead and never looked back
as they moved to within one victory of tying the school record for
single-season victories.
Kristen Green netted three goal with an assist and Karen Harp added two
goals to top the Lady Monarchs. Lindsay Sabo, Kim Murray Christina Klenk,
Kim Triftshourser and Cindy Koder all chipped in with one goal while Kerry
Wayne and Tammi Kumpf contributed an assist.
Lady Monarch goalie Mary Beth Clark had five saves in playing the first
half while Shelly Siemion made four stops in the second half.
King's will return to action Wednesday when the Lady Monarchs host Wilkes
at 4:00 p.m. at Betzler Fields.
