KING'S WOMEN'S LAXERS DROP SEASON FINALE TO MESSIAH
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's lacrosse
team concluded the 2003 campaign with a 24-3 loss to Messiah College in a
Middle Atlantic Conference matchup Saturday at Betzler Fields.
Lady Monarch freshman Patrice Cote scored two goals
and concluded her rookie year with a single-season school-record of 61
points on 42 goals and another school record of 19 assists. Kristen Greene
added a goal and assist on the day while Beth Ampula distributed an
assist,
King's, which graduates just one senior, concluded
the year with a 5-10 record while finishing at 3-6 in the Middle Atlantic
Conference.
Messiah was led by Kayte Hall, Shannon Finch, Tamika
Pickney, and Liz Schatz who scored four goals each. The Falcons improved
to 11-4 and 9-1 in the MAC.
