KING'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE FALLS TO SCRANTON
SCRANTON -- The University of
Scranton women's lacrosse team opened up a 15-1 half-time lead en route to
a 27-1 victory over King's Monday at Fitzpatrick Field.
The Lady Royals scored 12 straight goals before Beth Ampula struck net for
King's. Scranton would outscore King's 12-0 in the second half,
adding five goals in the final 10 minutes of the game.
Bridget Lee led Scranton with six goals and two assists. Liz Baumbach
added five goals and six assists. Kelly Herlihy netted four goals with one
assist.
King's fell to 4-7 overall and 2-5 in the Middle Atlantic Conference.
Scranton improved to 9-2 and 7-0 in conference play.
