KING'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE FALLS TO ELIZABETHTOWN, 22-13

(Cote Breaks King's Single-Season Scoring Mark)

ELIZABETHTOWN -- Jenn Manns scored six goals as host Elizabethtown College posted a 22-13 victory over King's College Saturday in Elizabethtown.

The Lady Monarchs took a 2-1 lead on a pair of goals from Jen Bezick, but Elizabethtown closed out the half with a 11-4 spurt to take a 12-6 lead into the break. The Blue Jays would outscore King's 10-7 in the second half to secure the win.

Patrice Cote led the Lady Monarchs with four goals and one assist and set a new school record for points in one season.  Cote has 48 points on 32 goals and 16 assists, surpassing the mark of 47 points set by Michele McKeon in 2000.

Joining Cote were Kristin Greene and Jen Bezick who added three goals each. Beth Ampula netted a pair of goals while Christina Klenk chipped in one for King's, which will travel to face the University of Scranton Monday at 4:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Field.

King's fell to 4-6 overall and 2-4 in the Middle Atlantic Conference while the Blue Jays improved to 5-3 and 4-3.
