COTE SETS ASSIST RECORD BUT LADY MONARCH LACROSSE FALLS TO LYCOMING, 15-13

WILKES-BARRE -- Freshman Patrice Cote set a new school-record with six assists, while adding four goals, but the King's College women's lacrosse team dropped a 15-13 verdict to visiting Lycoming College Thursday at Betzler Fields.

After an 8-8 half-time tie, King's was outscored 7-5 over the final 30 minutes of the match. The Lady Monarchs fell to 4-5 overall and 2-3 in the Middle Atlantic Conference.

Jenn Bezick scored five goals for the Lady Monarchs while Kristen Greene and Beth Ampula added two goals each. Mary beth Clark had 10 saves in goal. As a team, King's tied the school record with nine assists.

Lycoming was led by Erica Likens with eight goals.

The Lady Monarchs will next rravel to Elizabethtown College Saturday at 1:00 p.m,
