KING'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE DEFEATS CHESTNUT HILL, 20-7
PHILADELPHIA -- Kelly Coughlin scored four goals while Stacy Player and
Lisa Sangirardi added three each to power the King's College women's
lacrosse team to a 20-7 victory over Chestnut Hill College Thursday in
Philadelphia.
The Lady Monarchs assumed command right from the start and built a
comfortable 16-4 half-time lead.
Jen Petroski, Courtney Pagliaro, and Michelle Dougherty added two goals
for the Lady Monarchs. Kate Szelagowski, Mary Beth Clark, Maureen
Coughin, and Kerry Larkin all got into the scoring act with one goal each.
Meghan Andes made nine saves in goal to pick up the win. Szelagowski
led the team with nine ground balls while Dougherty added eight.
The Lady Monarchs also set two school records in the win. King's
posted a school record nine assists in the game and also set a record with
29 total points on 20 goals and nine assists.
King's returns to action Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Susquehanna University.
