KING'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE FALLS LATE TO ONEONTA
ONEONTA, NY -- Lauren Portney scored five
goals as the host Oneonta State University women's lacrosse team posted
a 14-10 victory over King's College Tuesday in Ononta, NY.
King's trailed 7-4 at the half but mounted a comeback and used two goals
by Reanna Lachner, two from Michelle O'Brien, and one goal each from
Grace King and Kira Shelley to take an 11-10 lead with 13:06 remaining
in the contest.
Oneonta, however, would storm back and used five goals from five
different players over the final 11:08 to walk away with the victory.
Lachner and O'Brien finished with a team-high three goals to pace King's
while Candace Russ also added a goal.
King's goalies Heather Kelly and Chrissy Keenan combined to make 13
saves, with Kelly posting 11 stops.
King's returns to action Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. contest at Arcadia
University.
