KING'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE FALLS LATE TO ONEONTA

ONEONTA, NY  -- Lauren Portney scored five goals as the host Oneonta State University women's lacrosse team posted a 14-10 victory over King's College Tuesday in Ononta, NY.

King's trailed 7-4 at the half but mounted a comeback and used two goals by Reanna Lachner, two from Michelle O'Brien, and one goal each from Grace King and Kira Shelley to take an 11-10 lead with 13:06 remaining in the contest.

Oneonta, however, would storm back and used five goals from five different players over the final 11:08 to walk away with the victory.

Lachner and O'Brien finished with a team-high three goals to pace King's while Candace Russ also added a goal.

King's goalies Heather Kelly and Chrissy Keenan combined to make 13 saves, with Kelly posting 11 stops.

King's returns to action Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. contest at Arcadia University.
