MARCH 16, 2008KING'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE DOWNS FITCHBURG
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's lacrosse team picked up its first victory of the season as the Lady Monarchs posted a 16-5 victory over visiting Fitchburg State College Sunday at Betzler Fields.
With the win, King's improved to 1-3 on the year.
Grace King led the lady Monarchs with five goals and one assist while Melissa Gates tallied four goals. Reanna Lachner netted three goals while Michelle O'Brien scored twice. Candace Russ and Kira Shelley chipped in with one goal apiece.
King's goalies Heather Kelly and Chissy Keenan combined to make three saves.
