Maple Lakes Women's Lacrosse Camp (Team & Individual)

Lacrosse debuted as an NCAA varsity debut in 1997 after one year as a club sport and has developed into a highly-competitive program.

The speed of the sport and athletic ability of the players drew an instant fan base and lacrosse has gained even more popularity as it has grown at King's.

Facing the challenging task of building a program, King's has continued to progress and stands as a very competitive program in the Middle Atlantic Conference. The Lady Monarchs proved to be a team on the rise in 2005 when the squad qualified for the MAC playoffs for the first time ever. The 2006 team then followed up with a second straight playoff berth.

King's competes for an opportunity to qualify for the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships as the top six teams from within the conference earn post-season berths.

In 1999, the NCAA restructured its national tournament criteria and began awarding the Freedom Conference winner an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III National Championships, increasing King’s chances of competing at the national level.

Carrying 20-plus players on the roster, women's lacrosse is developing into a solid sport with a bright future at King's.  Since its inception, the program has produced 13 MAC all-star players.

King's women's lacrosse also stands as one of the top academic squads in the MAC as 65 players have been named to the conference All-Academic Team since the program joined the MAC in 1998.

The 2005 women's lacrosse team was also ranked first nationally in NCAA Division III by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association with a 3.49 team grade-point average. Lindsay Sabo, a 2007 King's graduate, was named a first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American.

King's begins a new era in 2007-08 with the hiring of head coach Laurie Anthony, a former standout at Drew University.

The Lady Monarchs play their home games at beautiful Robert L. Betzler Fields, one of the top outdoor athletic facilities in the Middle Atlantic Conference.
