WILKES-BARRE -- King's College women's basketball standout Andrea Hochstuhl has been named the Freedom Conference "Player of the Week" for the third straight week, the Middle Atlantic Conferences Office announced Monday.

A 6-foot junior center, Hochstuhl enjoyed another outstanding week in leading King’s to a 2-0 mark with a pair of Freedom Conference victories with her 11th and 12th double-double (points-rebounds) of the season. In a 84-58 win over Drew, she scored posted team-highs to 20 points and 10 rebounds while adding four assists, three blocks, and two steals. In a big 86-79 road win over Delaware Valley, Hochstuhl netted 23 points and 12 rebounds while chipping in with one assist, one block, and two steals. In the process, she registered her fifth consecutive double-double and scored in double-figures for the 14th straight game. She also helped the Lady Monarchs to their ninth straight victory as King’s improved to 14-5 and 6-2 in Freedom Conference play.

For the week, she averaged 21.5 points. 11.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.0 steals, and 2.0 blocked shots per-game while shooting 60.8 (14-23) percent from the field.

Hochstuhl and her Lady Monarch teammates will return to action Wednesday when King's travels to face arch-rival Scranton at 6:00 p.m. in the John Long Center.
