KING'S WOMEN DOWN CABRINI, 60-48
WILKES-BARRE -- Beth Jordan scored a game-high
17 points to lead the King's College women's basketball team to a 60-48
road win at Cabrini College Sunday in Radnor.
With the win, King's evened its mark at 2-2 while Cabrini fell to 0-3.
King's took a 31-22 lead at halftime and was never seriously threatened
f-throughout the remainder of the contest.
Jordan, who was 5-of-9 from the field, added five rebounds, two assists,
and two steals. Freshman guard Kaitlyn Fiorino added 10 points,
including three three-pointers with three steals. Sophomore center
Andrea Hochstuhl contributed eight points and eight rebounds while
Colette Makowiec chipped in with eight points and two assists.
Sophomore guard Lauren Kendra was outstanding as she limited Cabrini
leading scorer Sharae Middlebrook to nine points on 3-of-nine shooting.
Kendra also tallied three points, seven rebounds three assists, and
three steals.
Overall, a stingy Lady Monarch defense limited Cabrini's starters to
just 25 combined points.
Nikki Dugan led Cabrini with 13 points off the bench while
Brittany McCleod added 10.
King's will next travel to face cross-town rival Wilkes Wednesday at
6:00 p.m. in the Marts Center.
