KING'S DOWN CAZENOVIA TO ADVANCE TO ONEONTA TOURNEY
FINAL
ONEONTA, NY -- Beth Jordan led a balanced
attach with 15 points and six rebounds as the King's College women's
basketball team posted a 65-33 victory over Cazenovia College to advance
to the championship game of the Holiday Inn Classic at Oneonta State
University, Oneonta, NY.
Jordan was 7-of-11 from the field and added three blocks and three
assists. Jenna Palumbo added 10 points while Kristin Yeasted
contributed nine points and six rebounds. Katie Lala, Vienna Spitler,
Ann Orelli, and Lauren Bonanni all chipped in with five points each to aid the Lady
Monarch cause.
King's (8-0) took a 32-11 lead into the half-time break
but held Cazenovia to just 11 second-half points.
Cazenovia was led by Tiffany Trent and Ferrin Caldwell with 10 points
each.
King's will play host Oneonta State in the title
game Sunday at 2:00p.m. Oneonta (7-1) advanced with a 54-52 win over
cross-town rival Hartwick.
