KING'S WOMEN DOWN WILKES, 71-31
WILKES-BARRE -- Kristin Yeasted scored 14 points and
Katie Lala and Beth Jordan added 12 points each as the King's College
women's basketball team posted a 71-31 victory over visiting Wilkes
University Wednesday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
With the win, King's improved to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in Freedom Conference
play. Wilkes slipped to 1-3 and 0-1.
King's took a 35-14 lead on the strength of nine points from Yeasted and
the Lady Monarchs never looked back. King's defense forced 37 Wilkes
turnovers in the game.
Cindy Baral added eight points as 13 different King's players reached the
scoring column.
King's travels to meet Delaware Valley on Saturday.
