KING'S BOUNCES BACK WITH WIN OVER FDU
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's
basketball team got back on the winning track as the Lady Monarchs posted
a 80-69 victory over FDU-Florham Tuesday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
With the win, King's improved to 16-5 overall and
7-3 in MAC Freedom Conference play. FDU slipped to 4-16 and 1-9 in league
play.
Jen Wozniak led the way for King's with 27 points on
10-of-16 shooting. Beth Jordan followed with a career-high 17 points and
nine rebounds while Tiffini Varrasse added 11 points, three assists, and
three steals. Vienna Spitler chipped in with seven points while Cindy
Baral contributed four points and six rebounds.
FDU was led by Ashley Flaherty with 20 points and
seven rebounds. Pam Sagehorn added 12 points while Margy Goodspeed
followed with 11 points and four rebounds.
King's will return to action Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
at Lycoming College in Williamsport.
