KING'S WOMEN'S CAGERS DOWN DREW

WILKES-BARRE -- Freshman guard Vienna Spitler scored a career-high 16 points as the King's College women's basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak with a 78050 victory over Drew University Saturday in Scandlon Gymnasium.

With the win, King's snapped a two-game losing streak, improving to 12-4 overall and 4-2 in the MAC Freedom Conference.  Drew fell to 7-5 and 2-3.

Spitler netted 14 first-half points to power King's to a 46-28 half-time lead.

Jen Wozniak added 14 points and six rebounds while Katie Lala followed with 11 points and three steals.  Tiffini Varrase chipped in with 10 points, six assists, and six steals

Drew was led by Melissa Cover with with 11 points while Lauren Aliano added 10.

King's will next host FDU-Florham Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
